Urgent announcement regarding the TikTok app usage in QQ Care Centre

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Following the Supreme Court of the United States ruling to ban the TikTok app on 19th January 2025 (Eastern Time), there has been circulation of fake news stating that this ban also applies in QQ Care Centre.

Under QQ rules Penal Code 106 Act 2023, the CID Department has the rights to ban all people from using the 'TikTok' app due to security reasons at any time.

However, today the CID Department would like to clarify that the CID Department DID NOT BAN the TikTok app because there is no evidence stating it threatens the security of QQ Care Centre or the members of QQ. We did ban in the year 2020 but was abolished under the new amendment of the RULES OF QQ.

Please do note that the use of TikTok live in a public account or messaging strangers in the TikTok app is still an offense under QQ rules Penal Code 1 Act 2020.

Provision of false information is an offense under QQ rules Penal Code 31 Act 2021.

Members of QQ who has any questions regarding the TikTok app may contact CID Department at qqcarecentre@gmail.com or IG @qqcarecentre.
